Mr. Christiansen is an attorney at Akerman Senterfitt practicing in areas of corporate, policy, real estate banking and lending, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, and securities law.

He is a member of the Florida Bar  and has held posts as Section Chairman of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, Chairman of Land Trust committee, Chairman of Corporate and Business Law Section, Vice Chairman of UCC Committee, past member of Legislation Committee; past member of Long-Range Planning Committee), Chairman of the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Mr. Christiansen is a Member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, Corporate and Litigation Sections of the American Bar, a Director of the Greater Orlando Chamber of Commerce as well as a past Member of its Executive Committee and Vice Chairman, Public Policy/Governmental Relations.  He is a Founding Trustee of BusinessForce (Chamber Political Action Committee) and a past Member of its Executive and Florida Cabinet Selection Committees.  He is Co-Chair of the Florida A&M Law School Orlando Project, a Member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, Orange County Ad Hoc Committee on Concurrency Management Systems and Director of the Orlando Downtown Development Board.  He was also Transportation Committee Chairman for the Blue Ribbon Commission on Orange County Infrastructure.

Mr. Christiansen serves in many leadership roles within the community including;  Jobs and Education Partnership, Orange County Public Schools Task Force, University of Central Florida Foundation, Orlando Civic Theater, Saint James Cathedral Foundation, Volusia Community College Ad Hoc Fundraising Committee, and the Orlando Museum of Art
