Allan Chernoff is currently the Executive Director of the City of Life Foundation, a group that is involved with young people who “age out” of the foster care system. He took that position in September 2007.
He previously served in a senior executive capacity at Westgate Resorts. In that role he founded and ran the Westgate Resorts Foundation and other groups/special projects during a period of time that saw the company expand to its current billion dollar + size. It now operates 28 resorts in 12 states and has over 12,000 employees.
During his tenure with Westgate he also founded the company’s in house advertising agency, barter department and magazine publishing divisions.
Prior to joining Westgate Chernoff founded an advertising agency in Orlando (Chernoff Silver) and was a marketing and promotional consultant to major companies including Thomson Learning, USA Today, Ocean Spray, AT&T, Ringling Brothers, and other companies in fields as diverse as automobiles, fashion, banking/finance, entertainment, sports/leisure, fast food and tourism.
Before relocating to Orlando he lived and worked in New York City. He’s a graduate of Columbia University and has an MBA from New York University.
