Paul Bryan’s early career was as a lawyer specializing in real estate transactions, banking and bond practices.  His legal career spanned twelve years from 1974 to 1986, during which he practiced with two of Orlando’s premier law firms.

Mr. Bryan’s focus, since leaving the practice of law, has been real estate services and development, including complex financing of sophisticated real estate projects.  During the mid and late 1980’s, Bryan was a key player in the organizational efforts for the Orlando Magic basketball franchise. He served on the Executive Committee and as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In 1985, Mr. Bryan formed a business with other partners to create entitlement of several acres of downtown Orlando and to develop what was known as DuPont Center and included the 28-story Bank of America Tower, which is approximately 420,000 square feet.  The tower remains one of the most prominent and sought after addresses for business in the Orlando central business district.

In the late 1980’s, Mr. Bryan became active in the family real estate service business established by his father in 1963, Grover Bryan, Inc., and ran that business as CEO for several years including a period of time in which the business operated under a joint venture agreement with the Galbreath Companies out of Columbus, Ohio.  Mr. Bryan served as Southeast regional President for the Galbreath Companies and on its executive committee during the mid-1990’s.

Subsequently, when the Galbreath Companies merged with LaSalle Partners, Mr. Bryan sold his interest in the Galbreath venture to LaSalle and became CEO of LaSalle’s U.S. national development business.  He also served on the Board of Directors of Jones Lang LaSalle North America, after the merger of LaSalle Partners with Jones Lang Wooten.

While at JLL, Bryan oversaw development teams in San Francisco, New York, Washington, DC, Miami, Los Angles, Denver and other cities.  Projects included transit oriented mixed use, the renovation of Grand Central Station, the new headquarters of Sun Microsystems, and other “commodity type” speculative office buildings and warehouses.

During Mr. Bryan’s career, he has been directly responsible for real estate development with a value of over $400 million, and indirectly - as CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Development Group - was responsible for development projects which have a value of several hundred millions of dollars.
